| Elizabeth Bee suggested Georgia and
Georgina as names for the twins, but Daddy George insisted that his wife's
name be honored again. |
| "Oh, George," she cried, "We already
have a Baby Elizabeth." His brown eyes caressed her to the relenting point.
Betsy and Bitsy read the birth certificates. |
| Mister Bee left his factory foreman
position, took a computer class through the local technical school, and
doubled his earning position to support the family of five. Together, the
couple cleaned and pampered and loved. |
| The nurses raised eyebrows to see Mrs.
Bee back huffing and puffing so soon. This time, the perfect babe was a
boy. As her husband and three tiny daughters peered into the hospital bed,
rosy-faced Elizabeth declared, "This one shall be named George." Mr. Bee
flushed with pride. But as he held the squirming bundle and saw the baby's
curved earlobe, his wife's lineage radiated through. |
